Laura Kalin

I am an Assistant Professor in the Program in Linguistics at Princeton University. Prior to my appointment at Princeton, I was a postdoc in the UConn Linguistics Department. My core research interests lie in morphology and syntax, and my dissertation (completed June 2014, UCLA Linguistics) examines the morphosyntax of aspect, agreement, and argument licensing in Northeastern Neo-Aramaic languages. I have also done work on Malagasy (Austronesian) and Hixkaryana (Carib), and have recently been exploring Indo-Iranian languages. When I’m not doing linguistics, you can usually find me running, rock climbing, reading, or baking.
